How It All Started
What began as a shared vision among the dedicated women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated—Lambda Psi Omega Chapter—has blossomed into the Pearls of Excellence Foundation. Rooted in a legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service, our founders were committed to creating a platform that would extend their impact beyond the sorority and directly into the heart of the community.
Since its inception, the Pearls of Excellence Foundation has served as the charitable arm of the chapter, championing educational initiatives, awarding scholarships, and supporting service programs that empower individuals and uplift families. Guided by purpose and fueled by passion, we continue to build on this strong foundation to create lasting change.

Our Pearls of Excellence Foundation is a
501(c)(3) Non-Profit. It is the charitable arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated,® Lambda Psi Omega Chapter. All proceeds and donations benefit scholarships and service programs sponsored by our committees and board.
The Pearls of Excellence Foundation promotes academic success and scholastic achievement within our local community. Our Foundation’s mission is to be Purposeful in our Efforts to Advance the plight of those in need in our community with Resources, Leadership, and Service.
